Cement Industry -
Portland and White Cement
ALTIFIL is a great source of Al2O3 raw material for the production of Low Alkali, CAC and White Cement.
Download our recent press release on ALTIFIL PCG material now available to the cement industry. As known in the cement industry alkalis of cement react with silica in aggregates - this in turn causes disruptive expansion and cracking of finished concrete.
One of the best methods of minimizing the conditions for an alkali-aggregate reaction is to control and maintain a very low alkali content in the cement.
ALTIFIL serves this purpose very well with a Na2O equivalent content of less than 0.6 and as low as 0.2 for special grades.
Additionally, ALTIFIL has very low iron percentages (less than 0.20%).
